Better Chiropractic provides individualized chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, and supportive therapies for people who want to move with less discomfort and return to the activities that matter to them.
Your first visit begins with a focused history and physical examination. Based on those findings, Dr. Brennan Bates will explain what may be contributing to your symptoms, whether care at our office is appropriate, and which services may fit your needs.
Treatment may include chiropractic care, sports rehabilitation, high-intensity PEMF therapy, physiotherapy, dry needling, cupping, corrective exercise, or a combination of approaches. Recommendations are tailored to your examination findings, comfort, response to care, and goals.
Which Service Is Right for Me?
-
You do not need to choose a treatment before scheduling. We start by learning what you are experiencing, how it affects your daily life or sport, and what you want to return to doing.
Chiropractic care may be considered when joint mobility, spinal or extremity mechanics, or musculoskeletal pain are part of the problem. Sports rehabilitation and corrective exercise may help rebuild strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence after injury. PEMF therapy may be used as a non-invasive supportive option for comfort and recovery when appropriate. Dry needling, cupping, soft-tissue care, physiotherapy, and massage may be incorporated according to your examination findings and treatment goals.
If your evaluation suggests that another provider or additional testing is more appropriate, we will explain that recommendation.
Some common conditions we treat include:
- Disc herniations
- Repetitive activity or overuse injuries
- Poor posture and ergonomics
- Dysfunction due to a sedentary (inactivity) lifestyle
- Injuries to the soft tissues
- Sciatica
- Plantar fasciitis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Headaches

Chiropractic Techniques and Services
No single treatment is right for every patient. Dr. Bates selects services according to your history, examination findings, goals, preferences, and response to care.
CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Controlled manual or instrument-assisted techniques may be used to address selected joints of the spine or extremities when clinically appropriate.
SPORTS REHABILITATION AND CORRECTIVE EXERCISE
Progressive mobility, strength, balance, and movement exercises are designed around the demands of your work, daily activities, or sport.
HIGH-INTENSITY PEMF THERAPY
Non-invasive pulsed electromagnetic field therapy may be included as a supportive option for comfort and recovery. Intensity and applicator placement are individualized.
DRY NEEDLING
When appropriate, thin monofilament needles are used to address selected muscles and trigger points as part of a broader treatment plan.
CUPPING AND SOFT-TISSUE CARE
Cupping, instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and taping may be used to support mobility and manage soft-tissue symptoms.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Supportive therapeutic procedures may be combined with active rehabilitation when indicated by your evaluation.
Results and treatment needs vary. We will explain the purpose, options, expected benefits, and relevant limitations before beginning care.
Chiropractic Care is Responsible Care
Good care starts with understanding the patient—not selecting a treatment from a menu. Our role is to evaluate your concern, explain the findings in plain language, and recommend an appropriate next step.
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your initial visit includes a discussion of your medical history, current symptoms or injury, activities, and goals, followed by a focused physical examination. Depending on the concern, this may include mobility, orthopedic, neurologic, strength, or movement testing.
Dr. Bates will explain the findings, answer your questions, and discuss whether treatment at Better Chiropractic is appropriate. If care is recommended, you will review the available options before deciding how to proceed. Treatment may be provided on the first visit when appropriate and with your consent.
Plan approximately 30 minutes for the initial appointment. Visit length and recommendations may vary according to the complexity of your concern.
"Today was my first visit here, the second time ever at any chiropractor. Dr. Bates came highly recommended by a colleague who works in spine surgery. Even still, I was a little apprehensive about chiropractic care but in enough pain that I realized I needed the help.
Dr. Bates was very kind and patient with me. He asked what my specific concerns were and then explained, very thoroughly, how and why those outcomes happen and what he was doing specifically to screen for and make sure that those things would not happen. He did a thorough exam and addressed what needed addressing without just doing everything and seeing what would work. During the treatment, he continued to talk me through everything that was happening and made me feel very comfortable.
I feel much improved after the visit!! He did not try to sell me a long-term package but I will return for some follow-ups until things are 100%. The front desk was very friendly and helpful! The office was neat and clean. The pricing was straightforward and fair. Very glad I found this office!!"
