Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) undergo a rigorous and demanding professional education equivalent to any other primary care provider (ie. Family Practitioner, General Practitioner). Their curriculum places special emphasis on anatomy, physiology, pathology, neurology, biomechanics, x-ray, spinal adjusting techniques, and related subjects.  To obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, they must complete several years of prerequisite undergraduate education and spend nearly the same number of classroom hours at a fully-accredited chiropractic college as MDs do in medical schools.

A comprehensive knowledge of all systems of the body and diagnostic procedures enable the DC to thoroughly evaluate a patient and address disorders relating to your nerves, muscles, and joints. If a patients’ disorder is outside of the Chiropractic scope of practice then you will be referred to the appropriate physician for treatment. The bottom line is, when it comes to your nerve, muscle, and joint disorders, Chiropractors provide the best diagnostic and non-surgical care.

Chiropractic adjustments help the body function as efficiently as possible, and can also help shorten the recovery time. To add to the effectiveness of the Chiropractic adjustment Dr. Bates has gone on after his Chiropractic education to receive several certifications and training that focus on the most accurate diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for the athlete within us all.  He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  He has certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, the Graston Technique and Kinesio Taping.
